Attractive - and/or fully matching! - pair of (early- ie. rounded-styled-) WH (Heeres) NCO- (ie. 'M36'/'M40'-) pattern 'cyphered' shoulderstraps as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Zahnarzt eines Sanitäts-Abteilungs'
This is an attractive - and/or fully matching and actually raraly seen! - pair of (early- ie. rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) NCO- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern), so-called: 'cyphered' shoulderstraps as was piped in the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for an NCO (ie. 'Oberfeldwebel' or: sergeant first-class ie. senior medical-orderly) who served as a: 'Zahnarzt' (or: dentist ie. assistant) within a: 'Heeres Sanitäts-Abteilung' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn- and/or with certainty once tunic-attached-), condition. The straps are moderately worn and do show some minimal wear, age and/or staining: both straps do also show some (minimal) moth-damage (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the desirable darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping and measure approximately 11,8 cms. in length each. The pieces show the 'standard'-pattern (somewhat shiny) silver-coloured, NCO-braid attached and come without tongues: it was with certainty a pair that was worn- (ie. intended) as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows a neat (matching, smaller-sized and/or: typical 'Buntmetall'-based) pair of so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cyphers, rarely seen (smaller-sized!) 'Z'-cyphers and equally-styled double pips period-attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Zahnartzt' (or: sergeant first-class and/or dentist). The pair is constructed from the typical 'smooth'-based- ie. boiled wool and is (I deem) a 'privately purchased'-pair. These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period-type straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered'-shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - rarely seen and with certainty desirable! - 'cyphered', 'Sanitäter'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair: I deem that I priced this attractive pair accordingy!
