WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (being a fully untouched and maker- (ie. 'W&S'-) marked example that comes with its period ribbon ie. 'Bandabschnitt')

This is an attractive example of an (I deem) surely issued- but hardly worn example of a WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class) and that comes as issued and/or recently found. The detail on this example is nicely preserved: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and/or minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross came together with its folded (regular-sized ie. minimally shortened and/or confectioned) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). The IC truly retains nice details and does show a (hard to decypher) makers'-designation in its ring that presumably reads: 'W&S' (and that as such was produced by the: 'Johann Wagner'-company). The cross has a very nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. 'shiny-style'-) core and is void of any real damage nor paint-loss and has been truly nicely preserved over the years. The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The ribbon (approx. 14 cms. sized) shows only minimal usage and/or staining and is strangely cut. Nevertheless, a neat maker-marked WWI-period 'EKII. Klasse' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
