'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze', being a maker- (ie. 'RS'-) marked version as executed in zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) being a so-called: 'Thin Maker Mark'-variant as was produced by the: 'Rudolf Souval'-company
This is an attractive - albeit I deem just moderately used- and/or worn - example of a: 'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze panzer assault-badge or PAB) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'RS'-) marked version as executed in zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) and being so-called: 'Thin Maker Mark'-variant as was produced by the: 'Rudolf Souval'-company and that comes in an overall nice- and/or fully untouched, condition. The badge on offer here concerns an (I deem later-war-period) typical zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based specimen that retains most of its tarnished bronze-coloured finish and that has nevertheless maintained an attractive appearance, still showing pronounced detail as to be expected. The badge was never cleaned nor polished (and is still also a tiny bit dirty ie. stained- ie. tarnished as mentioned above). As stated above does it deal with a so-called: 'Thin Maker Mark'-variant (as is uniquely numbered with the reference-number: '5.1.3.' according to the excellent reference-work entitled: 'The Panzer-Assault badge of WWII' by my Belgian friend Philippe de Bock). The neat piece naturally shows all the details as to be expected for a badge by this particular maker. It was recently found as such at a German private household and was never before part of a collection. It was simply never cleaned nor polished and comes as found. Simply a nice and honest bronze-class PAB by the 'RS'-company that comes in a nice albeit moderately used and/or worn condition: I deem that this honest example is accordingly priced!
