The truly attractive - and actually with certatainty very scarcely seen! - SS- (ie. 'Allgemeine-SS' o. 'Waffen-SS') enlisted-mens'- (ie. NCO-) type belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Mannschaften u. Unterführer der SS') comes (I deem) in a just minimally used ie. worn condition: it was, however, used and/or worn as such (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some minimal dirt and/or evident staining (it has however most certainly not been polished nor cleaned). The buckle has still a very detailed appearance and retains a very nice and/or nicely preserved (albeit somewhat tarnished) age-patina (as can be noticed on the pictures). The buckle is typical, early-pattern and clearly maker- (ie. just 'D.R.G.M.'-) marked example (stamped on its back under the swastika-area as can be noticed on the pictures). These very early type SS-belt-buckles saw usage by the various black-uniformed- ie. 'Allgemeine' SS-troops (but were also 'worn-out' throughout the war). As certainly known are these genuine, early-period- and/or nickle-chrome-based SS buckles nowadays getting really hard to find, especially if one prefers such a neat and/or only minimally used example as the one on offer here!
