2-pieced, WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) medal-bar (ie.: 'Doppelspange') resp. showing a: 'KvK II. Kl. Mit Schw.' and a: 'WH-DA der 4. Stufe'
This is a truly very decorative - and in this combination with certainty not that easily found! - example of a two-pieced, WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine-related-) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange' or: 'Doppelspange') respectively showing respectovely a: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class with swords) and a: 'WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Stufe' (as was intended for 4 years of loyal-service) and that shows a detailed (and bright-silver-toned) eagle-device period-attached, both awards (and device!) coming in an overall very nice- (albeit just minimally used and/or worn-), condition. Both medals are nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: both come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty condition and naturally also come mounted onto their period ribbons. The 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' is executed in typical 'Buntmetall'-based metal and retains an attractive and just minimally 'tarnished' age-patina and has never been cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. Truly almost all of its (as stated minimally 'tarnished') golden-bronze-coloured finish has been very nicely preserved, giving the medal a very nice and/or detailed appearance. The 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stufe' truly retains gorgeous details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- ie. tarnished age-patina: it retains all of its somewhat 'frosted'- and/or: bright-silver-toned finish without showing any defaults. The 'Spange' comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- (ie. catch-) set-up and is nicely 'backed' with a piece of darker-blue-coloured wool as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike: it originated as stated above from a private-household and was kept as such for decades. Simply a very attractive - and decorative! - 2-pieced, WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) related medal-bar- ie. 'Doppelspange' that is in my opinion accordingly priced!
