Scarcely found, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st Class) being a maker- (ie. '107'-) marked example as was produced by the company: 'Carl Wild - Hamburg'
This is an attractive - and fully untouched and actually scarcely found! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st Class) being a clearly maker- (ie. '107'-) marked example as was produced by the company: 'Carl Wild' as based in the town of Hamburg and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued- and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The piece on offer here has most certainly never been cleaned and shows a very attractive (blackened- and truly 'satin-like'- ie. matted-) patina and shows a fully undamaged, black-coloured 'inner-core'-section. The piece - which shows a clear makers'-designation: '107' stamped into the back of its (flute-shaped) pin can with certainty be attributed to the company: 'Carl Wild'. The cross retains a fair bit of its polished sides (or: 'hochpolierte Kanten') and does just show some minimal age, wear and/or staining. As stated above has this (typically non-converse-shaped) specimen great and very fine detail: it was I deem issued and moderately worn and is just a tiny bit dusty. Simply a neat - and fully untouched! - IC first-class by the company: 'Carl Wild' that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
