Single, WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was piped in the bright-red branchcolour as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abts.'
This is an attractive - clearly used albeit regrettably single! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard having the bright-red-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilungs' (or: junior-officer ie. lieutnant first-class and/or student (ie. instructor) who served at one of the artillery-troops-related, army training-institutes) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem clearly used- and/or worn- and/or I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard which is approximately 10,3 cms. sized in length and that is piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'roter'-) coloured branchcolour as to be expected shows a neat (bright golden-coloured, 'Buntmetall'-based, Gothic-styled- and/or: smaller-sized) so-called: 'L'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and an (equally styled, regular-sized) pip period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for a junior-officer who held the rank of: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class). Both devices show some regular age and/or minimal tarnish but are still very nicely preserved. The strap - that came with a 'standard'-pattern tunic-button attached - never had a tongue attached and was clearly used as a boards of the 'sew-in'-pattern: it does show some obvious age-, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive 'Heeres', officers'-type shoulderstrap that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
