'Virtually mint' example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) 'Marine-Artillerie-Abzeichen' being a maker- (ie. F.L.L.-) marked- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'-company
This is a very attractive example of an - I deem - somewhat later-war-period, WH (Kriegsmarine) 'Marine-Artillerie-Abzeichen' (or: coastal-artillery war-badge) being a typical maker- (ie. F.L.L.-) marked- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'-company as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem simply never used- nor worn- ie. still 'virtually mint- ), condition. The award retains its typical catch- and/or hinge (-set-up) and comes naturally mounted onto its typical (steel-based- and/or thin-shaped-) pin: it also has a functional and totally unaltered hinge- and/or catch in place as to be expected: these are both not altered nor damaged and of course fully functional. The badge - which has maintained very pronounced detail - has never been cleaned nor polished and truly retains almost all of its (very bright, golden- ie. greyish-silver-toned) finish something that is not always the case with these later-period, zinc-based war-badges (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found. I deem that I have priced this very attractive, by the: 'Friedrich Linden'-company-produced- and completely untouched! - 'Küstenartillerie'-related-award, accordingly!
