Aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) (ie. 'Infanterie-Geschütz-Ersatz'-related) ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Inft.Gesch./Ers./Kp.16' and that comes still mounted onto its (period-attached) cord
This is an attractive example of a silverish-grey-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) (ie. 'Infanterie-Geschütz-Ersatz'-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that comes mounted onto its (period-attached- and/or typical linnen-based) cord and that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Inft.Gesch./Ers./Kp.16' (and as such being a disc that was - I deem - intended for a soldier (or: NCO) who served within the motorised, infantry-gunners replacement unit, numbered: '16' (ie. belonging to the 16th infantry ie. so-called: 'Windhund'-Divison) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in an overall very nice condition (and is executed in a very attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat 'torn-out' holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of an impressed soldiers'-blood-group-type as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). The disc originates from a larger ID-disc-collection that was compiled over many years. Simply an attractive and honest WH 'Infanterie-Geschütz-Ersatz'-related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
