Moderately used, WH (Heeres) field-grey-coloured- and/or steel-based belt-buckle being a non-maker-marked example that comes mounted onto its maker- (ie. 'F.W. Assmann - Lüdenscheid'-) marked and/or '1940'-dated leather-based tab
This is an attractive - and I deem just moderately used! - example of a WH (Heeres) field-grey-coloured- and/or typical steel-based belt-buckle being a non-maker-marked example that comes mounted onto its nicely maker- (ie. 'F.W. Assmann - Lüdenscheid'-) marked and/or '1940'-dated leather-based tab and that comes as issued and/or recently found. The buckle truly retains most of its somewhat 'shiny'-styled, field-grey-coloured finish without showing any real defaults whatsoever: it just shows some rust-staining (ie. 'Flugrost') and was simply never cleaned nor polished and does just show some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows some obvious dust caused by over more than 80 years of storage. The leather-based tab is naturally also still fully functional and souple: it shows a clearly present, oval-shaped: 'F.W. Assmann - Lüdenscheid - 1940'-stamp (as can be clearly seen in the pictures) and remains in an equally nicely preserved condition overall (it was with certainty never greased nor oiled). The buckle itself is as stated above non-maker-marked (something that is more often observed). The piece was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a superb, 'F.W. Assmann - Lüdenscheid'-marked, 'Heeres'-example that is priced according to its overall nicely preserved condition!
