4-pieced, WWI- (ie. TR-) period medal-bar (ie.: 'Ordenspange') resp. showing a WWI-pattern: 'EKII. Kl.', a: 'KvK II.Kl. mit S.', a: 'Bayern Militär-Verdienstkreuz 3. Kl. mit Schwn.' and a: 'FKK 1914-18 mit Schwn.'
This is a truly decorative - and in this combination with certainty not that easily found! - four-pieced (WWII- ie. TR-period) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') that respectively shows a WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron-cross second class), a: typical 'Buntmetall'-based: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class with swords), a: 'Bayern Militär-Verdienstkreuz der 3. Klasse mit Schwertern' and a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern'), all four awards coming in an overall very nice- (albeit just minimally used and/or worn-), condition. All four medals are nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: both come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty condition and naturally also come mounted onto their period ribbons. The iron cross was with certainty never cleaned and has a very nice and/or attractive age-patina: it has just a minimally tarnished appearance (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross retains truly very nice and/or pronounced detail and has a very nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'matted'- ie. satin-like) core: it is totally void of any paint-damage or alike. The 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' is executed in typical 'Buntmetall'-based metal and retains an attractive and just minimally 'tarnished' age-patina and has never been cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. Truly almost all of its (as stated minimally 'tarnished') golden-bronze-coloured finish has been very nicely preserved, giving the medal a very nice and/or detailed appearance. The 'Bayern Militär-Verdienstkreuz der 3. Klasse mit Schwertern' has a neat reddish-copper-coloured surface and shows a neat 'frosted' appearance.
The 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern' is a nicely preserved and clearly maker- (ie. 'L.NbG.'-) marked example that retains all of its (somewhat shiny) age-patina. The 'Ordenspange' comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- (ie. catch-) set-up and is neatly 'backed' with a piece of light-green-toned wool (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike: it originated as stated above from a private-household and was kept as such for decades. Simply a very attractive - and decorative! - 4-pieced, WWI- (ie. Third Reich-) related medal-bar- ie. 'Ordenspange' that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced!
