EM- (ie. NCO-) type, so-called: 'Schutzmannschaften' (or: 'Schuma') cap-badge as executed in greyish-coloured thread onto a black-coloured- (ie. 'SS-Polizei'- ie. 'SD'-related-) background
I recently uncovered a period-card holding a 'strip' of 25 - fully identical and actually as such scarcely encountered! - (I deem) enlisted-mens'- (ie. NCO-) type, so-called: 'Schutzmannschaften' (or: 'Schuma') cap-badges as all executed in greyish-silver-coloured thread onto a black-coloured (and linnen-based) background and that come all 25 in an overall very nice- (ie. simply never used- ie. still 'virtually mint'-), condition. These neat cap-badges as executed in greyish-coloured thread onto a black-coloured- ie. 'SS-Polizei'- ie. 'SD'-type background and signified as such the close interrelation between the - notorious! - 'Schuma'-units and the German police (ie. 'Polizei') ie. Waffen-SS and/or SD-units. I personally think that these particular cap-badges were intended for enlisted-mens'- ie. NCO-usage: they are executed in the neat machine-woven pattern (almost certainly by the 'BeVo' company of Wuppertal). The pieces were naturally never trimmed- nor folded- or confectioned and just show some minimal handling- ie. storage-age only (as can be seen on the pictures). The card orignated from a US-veteran who 'liberated' this interesting piece in May 1945 (presumably at the Dachau clothing-depots). My asking-price is naturally intended per single example. I deem this a great opportunity to acquire and attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - 'Ostvölker'- ie. 'Schutzmannschaften' (or: 'Schuma') cap-badge for a very competitive and interesting price!
