The truly attractive - luxuriously-styled and with certainty rarely encountered! - golden-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold') is executed in neat and/or fairly shiny, so-called: 'Buntmetall' and shows only moderate usage and/or minimal wear (as can be clearly seen on the pictures). The wound-badge comes naturally mounted onto its fully functional (and typically-tin-shaped) pin and has a totally unaltered (and functional) catch. The badge is most certainly never cleaned and retains most of its bright-golden-toned finish. It only shows some minimal tarnish (and has never been cleaned nor polished). It is - as stated above - showing a clearly present 'LDO' ie. 'L/11'-makers'-designation (and is as such an example that can be attributed to the - for this particular award rarely seen - maker- ie. Hersteller named: 'Wilhelm Deumer' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid). The black-coloured- (simulated leather-based- and/or: partly wooden-based) etui - comes also in an overall very nice, albeit moderately used, condition (it is just somewhat dusty ie. dirty simply caused by years of storage but is totally void of any damage or alike). The etui has a beige-coloured (simulated 'velvet') interior as to be expected: this inlay shows a clear imprint of the wound-badge (that was most certainly stored in this manner for decades): moreover, does it show the black-toned 'LDO'-designation-stamp into its inside lid (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and with certainty desirable and rarely encountered! - golden-class WB-set that is I deem priced according to its unmistaken rarity: only the first such set by this particular maker I ever had on offer!
