Single - but nevertheless scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abtlgs. 3'

The truly attractive - regrettably single, neatly 'cyphered' and actually quite scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) ie. 'Panzer-Aufklärungs'-related shoulderboard is piped in the neat bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour and was as such intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 3' (or: officer and army captain who served within the Panzer-reconnaissance-unit, numbered: '3') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. most certainly issued and/or moderately used- ie. worn- and most certainly carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive shoulderboard is a 'text-book'-example of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Panzer'-related shoulderboard and shows the bright-silver-coloured (ie. somewhat shiny) 'upperdeck'. The board shows the desirable bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and was constructed from the typical smooth-type wool as more often seen). The board never has a tongue attached and was clearly intended for usage as a board of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The board measures approximately 13 cms. in length and shows a neat (smaller-sized, Gothic-styled- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'A'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer'), a (smaller-sized- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based): '3'-numeral (ie. 'Ziffer') and two (equally-styled, regular-sized) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of a: 'Hauptmann' (ie. captain). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The board was I deem truly used as such as does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). These 'standard'-model officers'-type shoulderboards could be used with the regular-style officers-tunics but could naturally also be worn on the specific, black-woolen 'Panzer' so-called: 'wrap-around'-tunics. Simply a very attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 3'!
