Pair of WH (Heeres) neaty 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant u. Schützen des Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts. 64' (part of the '16. Panzer-Div.') Pair of WH (Heeres) neaty 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant u. Schützen des Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts. 64' (part of the '16. Panzer-Div.') Pair of WH (Heeres) neaty 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant u. Schützen des Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts. 64' (part of the '16. Panzer-Div.')

The very attractive - fully matching and actually very scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) shoulderboards belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant u. Schützen des Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts. 64' (part of the '16. Panzer-Div.') and are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. minimally 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty once tunic-attached and show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern and measure approximately 11,3 cms. in length each. The boards show a matching pair of (bright golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'S'-cyphers, two pairs of (larger-sized, older-styled and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: '6'- and/or '4'- numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (silverish-golden-toned, identically-styled and/or larger-sized) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that the officer who wore this set held the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served as a 'Schützen' within the: 'Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 64'. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply a very attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant u. Schützen des Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts. 64' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
