Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', administrative-officers'-pattern shoulderboards as was specifically intended for usage by a WH (Heeres) 'Hauptmann des gehobener Dienstes'

This is an attractive pair of neatly 'cyphered', officers-pattern shoulderboards (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Verwaltungs-Offiziere des Heeres') having the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour and having the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured secondary branchcolour, as was specifically intended for usage by a WH (Heeres) 'Hauptmann des gehobener Dienstes' (or: army-officer being of a rank comparable with a: 'Hauptmann'- ie. captains-rank) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately worn ie. most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The boards - which have an approximate length of 11,2 cms. - are executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or (typical) darker-green-coloured wool (aka moleskin'-wool) and have the have the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured 'secondary' branchcolour and typical silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdecks' (showing an - interwoven and equally darker-green-coloured - 'stripe' something that was obligatory for all shoulderboards as worn and/or used by the various 'Verwaltungs-Offiziere des Heeres' holding this particular rank). The boards - which were worn on the 'standard'-type, field-grey-coloured 'Heeres'-officers-pattern tunics - have identical, bright-golden-coloured (ie. I deem 'Buntmetall'-based-) 'HV'-cyphers and two pairs of (equally bright-golden-coloured- and equally styled) pips, period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair never had any tongues and was most certainly worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was I deem moderately used and/or worn and shows as stated above moderate wear and/or age. This shoulderboard-pair originates from a larger shoulderboard- and/or insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Note: The German army had a tradition of maintaining a separate branch of 'Verwaltungs-Beamte' (ie. administrative-officials tasked to oversee all various administrative functions) who were responsible for a wide variety of administrative-tasks including court martial-, librarian-, supply-, technical- and meteorological-services, to schooing-, barracks- and/or: hospital-administration. Most 'officials-careers' consisted of four 'grades' being: 'high'-, 'elevated'-, 'medium'- and/or 'low'-grades with slightly differing identifying-insignia for each grade. The grade of the career was determined by the education and/or experience of the individual. Initially, all these 'Verwaltungs-Beamte' were identified by the darker-green-coloured branchcolour (ie. 'Waffenfarbe') having a secondary-branchcolour (ie. 'Nebenfarbe') to indicate their actual career ie. function. Various assorted 'Verwaltungs-Beamte' used the darker-green-coloured branchcolour as the secondary-branch-colour making it virtually impossible to fully identify the function of the officer who wore these boards. Nevertheless, still an attractive pair of neatly 'cyphered' so-called: 'Schulterstücke für Verwaltungs-Offiziere des Heeres'!
