This is a very attractive - fully matching and I deem simply never worn nor used! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 3' (or: captain who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '3') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. presumably issued- albeit simply never used nor tunic-attached- ie. 'virtually mint' ), condition. The neat boards - which are executed in the typical 'smooth'-like- and/or white-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and have the (very bright!) silver-coloured- ie. non-sub-dued 'upperdecks'. The boards come mounted onto their (smaller-shaped) tongues attached and were (presumably) intended to be used as a pair of 'dress'- ie. 'Ausgeh'-type boards (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show four (golden-toned, identical and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) pips and a pair of (equally-styled, older-type) '3'-numerals (ie. cyphers or 'Ziffern') period-attached (which devices are very detailed and/or pronounced as can be seen on the pictures). This particular WH (Heeres) 'dress-type' shoulderboard-pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 3' and that is I deem accordingly priced!
