Truly used- and/or tunic-removed pair of WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant eines Pz-Grenadier-Lehr-Rgts.'

The very attractive - fully matching and actually quote scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty once tunic-attached and show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as (and used as!) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern and measure approximately 10,9 cms. in length each. The boards show a matching set of (bright golden-toned, Gothic-styled, larger-sized- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'L'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (identically-styled, larger-sized) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that the officer who wore this set held the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served within a: 'Panzer-Grenadier Lehr Regiments' (or: infantry-related, so-called: rifle- schooling ie. training-regiment or unit). Taking into account the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used tunic'. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply a very attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Grenadier Lehr Regiments' and that is with certainty accordingly priced
