Pair of neatly 'cyphered'- (and pre-war-period!) WH (Kriegs- o. Reichsmarine) NCO-type shoulderstraps as constructed from HBT-material as intended for an: 'Oberfwbl. eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abtgs.'
This is a truly attractive - fully matching and actually rarely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered'- (and with certainty pre-war-period pattern!) pair of WH (Kriegs- o. Reichsmarine) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage onto the field-grey coloured navy-style tunics as was worn by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilungs' (or: senior-NCO ie. sergeant first-class who served within a naval coastal-artillery unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem moderately used- ie. worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The straps - which are fully 'text-book' in all facets - measure approximately 10,6 cms. in length (and have a width of 5,5 cms. as usually seen) have the typical field-grey-coloured- and/or HBT-like-based 'upperdecks'. The straps - that come mounted onto their typical, linnen-based tongues - have the (typical KM o. RW-type) golden-toned NCO-braid attached and show a matching pair of (I deem 'Buntmetall'-based-, bright-golden-toned and somewhat tarnished) so-called: 'winged-shell-anchor'-cyphers or: 'Ziffern' and two pairs of (smaller-sized and equally-styled) pips period-attached (denoting the rank of an: 'Oberfeldwebel'). One of the 'winged-shell-anchor'-cyphers has been attached ie. fortified by means of stitching as can be noticed on the pictures). The straps show some minimal age, wear and/or staining but are totally void of any damage (as can be seen on the pictures). Of interest is, moreover, the fact that this pair came with a pair of bright-golden-toned so-called: anchor-'Schraubknöpfe' (as can be noticed on the pictures). It should be noted that ALL 'Küstenartillerie' insignia-pieces are actually quite hard to encounter: those early-pattern, 'cyphered' examples even more so, which grades them easily as 'rare'. Simply an attractive early-period (ie. 'Reichsmarine'-related) 'cyphered', naval NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage on the field-grey-coloured attire!
