'EK II. Klasse'-set comprising of a non-maker-marked specimen that comes with its ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and 'Zellstoff'-based pouch as produced by the company: 'L.Chr. Lauer' (ie. 'Hersteller 14')
The attractive IC-set - which was most certainly issued but that was simply hardly worn - came together with its pre-folded- and/or confectioned (and approx. 14 cms. long-sized) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and typical, blue-coloured- and/or 'Zellstoff'-based pouch as issued and/or stored for decades. The cross - which is totally void of a makers'-designation as more often - was with certainty never cleaned and has a nice and attractive age-patina: it has, however, lost its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a somewhat darkened- ie. tarnished finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. typical 'matted-style'-) core: it is totally void of any paint-damage (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. I deem that the cross is an evident specimen that was produced by the maker 'L.Chr. Lauer' (ie. 'Hersteller 14') as was based in the town of Nürnberg/Berlin and has nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. The pouch comes in an equally nice albeit used condition: it is somewhat sun-faded and wrinkled and does show an inked name of the recipient (a certain: 'Paul.......?' or alike) as can be noticed on the pictures. The IC-set was recently found at a German private-household and was truly never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive - and complete! - 'EK II. Klasse'-set as was produced by the: 'L.Chr. Lauer'-company and that will be hard to be upgraded!
