Single - and very scarcely encountered! - 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard for a WH (Heeres) 'Feldpolizeiobersekretär o. Inspektor der Geheime Feldpolizei' (being of a rank comparable with an: 'Oberleutnant')
This is a truly very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly very scarcely encountered! - specific 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for a WH (Heeres) 'Feldpolizeiobersekretär o. Inspektor der Geheime Feldpolizei' (being of a rank comparable with the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' ie. lieutnant first-class) and that comes in an overall very nice (I deem hardly worn- nor even tunic-attached-), condition. The board - which is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or darker-green-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) has the neat (light-blue- ie. 'hellblauer'- coloured-) branchcolour (ie. 'Zwischenfarbe') and typical silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdeck' showing an (interwoven) light-blue-coloured 'stripe' something that was obligatory for all shoulderboards as worn and/or used by the various 'Geheime Feldpolizei'-officials. The board measures approximately 11 cms. in length and never had a tongue attached and was surely intended for usage as a piece of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The board shows a (regular-sized, bright-golden-toned- and/or typical Buntmetall-based-) so-called: 'GFP'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and an (identically-styled) pip period-attached. Both devices are just minimally tarnished and/or stained but retain both still very nice and/or pronounced detail (as can be seen on the pictures). The board was I deem simply never used and does show some (truly minor) staining caused by decades of storage only. This particular example originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard that belonged to a: WH (Heeres) 'Feldpolizeiobersekretär o. Inspektor der Geheime Feldpolizei': too bad it is only a single specimen!
