Pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Grenadier-Rgts.'

The attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were most certainly worn and/or once tunic-attached and do show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards come mounted onto their officers'-type tongues attached and measure approximately 10,6 cms. in length each. The boards show a matching pair of (identically-styled, somewhat smaller-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that the officer who wore this set held the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class). Taking into account the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-tunic'. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Grenadier-Regiments' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
