Typical later-war-period - and fully matching! - pair of so-called: 'M44'-pattern, 'simplified' WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Feldwebel der Pionier-Trpn. u. Mitglied des Pionier-Regimentsstabs 34'
This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and with certainty very scarcely encountered! - typical later-war-period, so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and somewhat 'simplified', WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel der Pionier-Truppen u. Mitglied des Pionier-Regimentsstabs 34' (or: NCO ie. sergeant who served within the engineer-troops-related, regimental staff-unit numbered: '34') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each as more often seen - have the neat (and desirable!) 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these later-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstraps - that came with a pair of field-grey toned tunic-buttons attached - are constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner', using different shades of wool and/or material (as can be seen in the pictures). The straps - that came with a pair of field-grey-coloured- and pebbled-style tunic-buttons attached - show the silverish-coloured (ie. non-sub-dued) NCO-braid attached and come mounted onto their functional tongues. The shoulderstraps show two pairs of (matching, early-styled, larger-sized and aluminium-based) so-called: '3'- and/or: '4' cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (greyish-toned, zinc-based) pips period-attached, denoting the NCOs rank ie. function as mentioned above. It should be noted that all 'M44'-pattern, NCO-type straps are actually quite hard to find and can easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are piped in the desirable, black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that both straps show an inked '11'-numeral on the inside of the tongues (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'! - M44-pattern NCO-type 'Pioniere'-shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel der Pionier-Truppen u. Mitglied des Pionier-Regimentsstabs 34'!
