This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) neatly 'cyphered'- and darker-green- (ie. grüner-) piped, enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 139' (or: simple soldier who served within the army mountain-troops-regiment, numbered: '139') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The somewhat broader-shaped shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,1 cms. sized in length and that does show the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and has the woolen-type piping attached. Moreover, does it show the neatly machine-embroidered and also darker-green-toned: '1'-, '3'- and/or '9'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') (which are excuted in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Gebirgsjäger-Rgts. 139' (part of the: '3. Gebirgs-Division')!
