Pair of WH (Heeres) - I deem - early- (ie. mid-) war-period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Oberfeldwebel einer Pionier-Abtlgs.'

This is an attractive - fully matching and moderately used and actually not that easily found! - pair of WH (Heeres) - I deem - early-war-period (ie. 'M40'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for a senior NCO (ie. 'Oberfeldwebel' or: engineer sergeant-first-class) who served within a: 'Heeres Pionier-Abteilungs' and that comes in an overall nice- (clearly used and/or worn and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The neat straps are just moderately used and/or worn and do show some minimal wear, age and/or staining but are truly void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or 'silk-like'-type piping and measure approximately 11 cms. in length each. The pieces come naturally mounted onto their functional tongues (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair is constructed from the typical darker-green (ie. field-grey-) coloured (smooth-type) wool and is with certainty a: 'standard-issued'- (ie. non-tailor-made) pair. These type of shoulderstraps are of the typical early-war-period pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). The pair shows the (bluish) silver-toned NCO-braid and four (regular-styled, aluminium-based) pips period-attached denoting the rank of an: 'Oberfeldwebel'. This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and with certainty desirable! - 'Pioniere'-related NCO-type 'Heeres' shoulderstrap-pair: I deem that I priced this very attractive NCO pair according to its overall nice and totally untouched condition!
