Fully matching - and scarcely encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine) NCO- (ie. officers'-) type visor-cap insignia-set for attachment onto the various NCO- ie. officers'-type visor-caps (ie. 'Schirmmützen')
This is a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine), NCO- (ie. officers'-) type visor-cap insignia-set (ie. 'Kriegsmarine Adler- u. Kokardesatz für den Schirmmütze') comprising respectively of a bright-golden-toned (ie. 'feuervergoldeter') eagle-pin and hand-embroidered cocarde for attachment onto the various blue-coloured NCO- ie. officers'-type visor-caps (ie. ' Schirmmützen der Unteroffiziere u. Offiziere der Kriegsmarine') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just moderately worn ie. used-) condition. The neat eagle-pin is executed in bright-golden-toned (ie. truly 'frosted'!) aluminium-based metal and still retains a fully preserved (and/or neaty 'feuervergoldeter'-) finish. Most of its high-polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten') are also nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive piece has never been cleaned and comes naturally mounted onto its original pin as issued and found. The piece is totally void of a makers'-designation as is more often encountered and was (I deem) just minimally worn. The cocarde is nicely hand-embroidered using various kinds of golden-coloured braid on a darker-blue-coloured (and/or woolen-based) background (as can be seen on the pictures). Moreover, does this example show a neat (equally braid-based) inner-cocarde (something that is actually quite unusual). This example was just minimally used and/or once cap-attached but is void of any staining ie. corroded areas (as can be seen on the pictures). The cocarde shows a black-coloured, linnen-based 'backing' (as can be seen on the pictures!) as more often observed and is quite 'thick' in execution. Simply a very attractive - and truly not that easily encountered! - naval visor-cap replacement-set that is with certainty accordingly priced!
