The attractive - and actually nowadays not that easily found! - mid- (ie. later-) war period- and/or detailed war-badge (ie. 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen') has just been moderately worn and comes mounted onto its functional pin but regrettably misses its catch: this was 'lost' over the years (as can be noticed on the pictures). The still very collectible award - which is clearly used- and or worn as such - shows a 'separately'- (and/or detailed golden-coloured) eagle-device attached (by means of two firmly attached- (and unaltered!) rivets (as is visible on the back). The badge truly retains a fair bit of its period-applied golden-toned finish and does show a somewhat tarnished- (ie. typical zinc-like) age-patina as is more often encountered on these desirable Luftwaffe war-badges. The badge shows a clearly-present makers'-mark-designation (ie. 'B&N - L'-logo) and is in all respects thus an example that can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'Berg u. Nolte' based in the town of Lüdenscheid: the award shows naturally all the specific details as known for a genuine paratroopers'-badge by this particular maker. The piece is just minimally stained ie. dirty but has I deem never been cleaned: the greyish-coloured wreath and/or golden-coloured eagle-device both retain a nice albeit minimally tarnished appearance. I deem that I have priced this still attractive 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen' according to its missing catch: a pristine example would most certainly cost twice my asking-price!
