This is an attractive - I deem truly used ie. cap-removed and nowadays actually scarcely encountered! - Waffen-SS field-grey-coloured, so-called: M43-pattern cap-trapezoid (ie. 'Mützentrapez') as was executed in 'BeVo'-weave pattern as was specifically intended for usage on the M43-model field-caps (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmützen') and that comes in an overall nice- (and just moderately used- ie. worn- and regrettably somewhat damaged-), condition. The piece on offer here just shows some truly minimal age ie. staining simply caused by having been used: it was cap-removed (and was somewhat short-cut on its left side as can be noticed on the pictures). The badge was confectioned ie. fine 'trimmed' but can as such still be used for (re)attachement onto a cap (as can be seen on the pictures). The trapezoid originates from an insignia-lot that was brought to the USA by an US-veteran and that remained there for years in a collection. Still an attractive Waffen-SS cap-trapezoid that can easily be used to restore a cap or to be stored in any cloth-insignia ie. Waffen-SS collection and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
