Pair of WH (Heeres) EM-type (ie. 'M36-/M40'-pattern- and 'pointed styled-') 'cyphered' shoulderstraps as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Offiziers-Anwärter des Gebirgsäger-Rgts. 136'
This is a very attractive - fully matching and actually truly very scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (pointed-styled) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type (and as per regulation, non-piped!) shoulderstraps as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - 'Soldat u. Offiziers-Anwärter des Gebirgsäger-Regiments 136' (or: simple soldier and officers'-candidate who served within the army mountain-troops-regiment, numbered: '136') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. clearly worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which are approximately 11,5 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks' and show the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') so-called: '1'-, '3 and/or: '6'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern'). All three 'cyphers' are executed in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the soldier who wore this pair was presumably period-transferred from the mountain-troops-regiment, numbered: '137' to the mountain-troops-regiment, numbered: '136': the '6'-cypher ie. numeral was clearly once a: '7' (as can be noticed on the pictures). Both straps do show a (double-sized) slip-on (ie. 'Lasche') period- (and firmly) attached, denoting that the soldier who wore this pair was an: 'Offiziers-Anwärter' ie. officers'-candidate (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which came mounted onto their functional tongues - show as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'truly scarce'. This shoulderstrap-pair originates from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Offiziers-Anwärter des Gebirgsäger-Regiments 136'!
