This is an attractive - and actually never before seen and surely very rarely encountered! - example of a bright-red-coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') as was (I deem presumably) used by the various officials serving within the: 'Deutsche Reichspost' (showing a 'BeVo'-woven eagle-device aka: 'Zeesener Adler') being a never used- ie. still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-, example. The somewhat smaller- albeit broader-sized armband (ie. measuring 33 x 25 cms.) is executed typical, bright-red-coloured linnen-based material and shows a nicely (typical 'BeVo'-woven) so-called: 'Zeesener Adler'-attached ('off-factory'-done by means of 'zig-zag'-machine-stitching as can be noticed on the pictures). These eagles - which are nicely woven in white-coloured linnen onto a cornflower-blue-coloured background - are facing left and were instituted by a specific order (ie. 'Erlass') as was issued by the responsible 'Reichsminister' named Richard Ohnesorge on 16 August 1942. The piece was hardly (ie. simply never) worn and/or used and comes in a pristine condition. I am convinced that this is a very rarely encountered armband (ie. 'Armbinde') that saw usage by the various officials serving within the: 'Deutsche Reichspost'. I deem that I have priced this rare example according to its obvious rarity and/or desirabilty!
