Golden-bronze-toned, so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenpreis' (ie. commemorative-plaque) showing the (partly engraved) text: 'Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten - III. Preis - Mürwick - 28.St.S.W. - 20.9.39' Golden-bronze-toned, so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenpreis' (ie. commemorative-plaque) showing the (partly engraved) text: 'Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten - III. Preis - Mürwick - 28.St.S.W. - 20.9.39' Golden-bronze-toned, so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenpreis' (ie. commemorative-plaque) showing the (partly engraved) text: 'Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten - III. Golden-bronze-toned, so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenpreis' (ie. commemorative-plaque) showing the (partly engraved) text: 'Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten - III. Preis - Mürwick - 28.St.S.W. - 20.9.39'

This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often encountered! - golden-bronze-toned- and typical shield-shaped so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenpreis' (ie. commemorative-plaque) showing a detailed: 'Reichskriegsfahne' and 'Reichsadler'-device coupled with the (partly period-engraved) text that simply reads: 'Standort-Segel-Wettfahrten - III. Preis - Mürwick - 28.St.S.W. - 20.9.39' and that comes as issued and/or stored for decades. The neat - medium-sized and/or regular-weight - piece measures approximately 7 x 6,5 cms. and has pronounced detail as to be expected. It shows a detailed illustration of both a: 'Reichskriegsfahne' and 'Reichsadler'-device and shows the (partly engraved) text as mentioned above. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and has maintained a neat (somewhat frosted- and/or minimally tarnished) golden-bronze-toned age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which is totally void of a makers'-designation - originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece comes period-mounted onto a darker-toned, wooden plaque as issued. The piece shows a pencilled date on its back that reads: '20.9.39' (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive sports- (ie. sailing-) related naval award-plaque ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Ehrenpreis' that is I deem accordingly priced!
