Fully untouched, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Kl.' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a typical, maker- (ie. '6.'-) marked example by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Fritz Zimmermann' and that comes as issued and worn
This is an attractive - albeit moderately worn- ie. used! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being being a clearly maker- (ie. '6.'-) marked example as was with certainty produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Fritz Zimmermann' ('Hersteller 6.') and that comes as issued and/or recently found and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The magnetic (and typically non-vaulted) cross has a very attractive (somewhat darkened) age-patina and retains truly great detail: the black-coloured (ie. somewhat satin-toned) core shows no rust nor real damage: the (somewhat 'matted') black-coloured paint in the core is truly nicely preserved (as can be seen in the pictures). The cross has, however, lost most of its 'off-factory applied' polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). The back of the cross is just minimally stained (but was never cleaned nor polished though). The (flute-shaped) pin (that bears the impressed numeral '6.') and typical catch (ie. set-up) are naturally fully unaltered and/or fully functional. The cross is - as stated above - an attractive example that was produced by the maker 'Fritz Zimmermann' as based in the town of Stuttgart and that was never before in a collection. I deem that this attactive - and fully untouched! - IC first-class is in my opinion accordingly priced!
