Single - but nevertheless fairly rarely seen! - WH (Heerer) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abts. 6'

This is a truly attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern and neatly 'cyphered' shoulderboard as piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty used and/or worn by! - an: 'Oberleutnant des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 6' (or: junior-officer and lieutnant first-class who served within the cavalry-related, reconnaissance-unit numbered: '6') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The strap shows the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour (and is executed in the typical 'smooth-type' wool). It comes mounted onto its (smaller-sized) tongue attached and measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length: it was just moderately worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The board shows a neat (and actually rarely seen!) golden-toned (Gothic-styled, smaller-sized- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'A'-'cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and equally-styled and smaller-sized '6'-numeral (ie. 'Ziffer') and a single pip period-attached, denoting that the lieutnant first-class who was issued and used this board, served within one of the: Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungen' (ie. cavalry-related, reconnaissance-units). All three devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and somewhat stained age-patina. It should be mentioned that these 'Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie-Aufklärungs'-related shoulderboards are actually hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. This particular board originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site and shows - as stated above - just moderate usage ie. wear (just some age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present: moreover, does it show some minimal moth-damage on its back only). Simply an attractive shoulderboard that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 6': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
