Single, WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers-pattern shoulderboard as intended for a: 'Leutnant u. Feldingenieur des Heeres'
This is an attractive - clearly used and regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers-pattern shoulderboard as piped in the bright-orange- (ie. orangeroter-) coloured branchcolour as was as intended for - and just moderately used by! - a: 'Leutnant u. Feldingenieur des Heeres' (or: lieutnant and field-engineer) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly- ie. moderately used and/or worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard which is approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length and that is piped in the neat bright-orange- (ie. 'orangeroter'-) coloured branchcolour as to be expected shows a neat (larger-sized and/or typical zinc ie. 'Feinzink'-based) so-called: 'Zahrad'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for a junior-officer who held the rank of a: 'Leutnant' (ie. lieutnant). The attached device shows some regular age and/or minimal tarnish (I deem that it was once golden-toned which finish has simply faded-away over the years. The strap never had a tongue attached (and was clearly used as a board of the sew-in-pattern): it does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive 'Heeres' officers'-type shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Leutnant u. Feldingenieur des Heeres': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
