'Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen der II. Kl.' (or: 'Schlesischer Adler 2. Stufe') being a just moderately used example that comes mounted onto its full-length ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and accompayning miniature as found
This is truly very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - example of a black-toned: 'Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen der II. Klasse' (or: 'Schlesischer Adler 2. Stufe') being a just moderately used and/or worn example that came period-mounted onto its full-length (ie. 15 cms.-sized) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that came with its accompayning miniature (for the 'Kettchen') and that comes as recently found. The neat piece - that originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered - shows two (I deem integrated, bright-silver-toned ie. sprayed devices ie. 'Halbmond' and/or text-banner: 'für Schlesien' as to be expected (as can be noticed on the pictures). The attractive piece - that is totally void of a makers'-designation as more often - truly retains all of its (somewhat shiny- ie. satin-like) black-toned finish. Of additional interest is, morover, the fact that this example came together with its (detailed!) and genuine silver-based miniature (ie. 'Miniatur') that shows equal and pronounced detail. Of interest is, moreover, the fact that this miniatur (that was I deem specifically intended for mounting on a: 'Kettchen' or: medal-chain) shows a silver-content numeral ('800') and makers'-designation-logo of the: 'Paul Meybauer'-company (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a neat example of this attractive, post WWI-period award(set) that comes actually not that often for sale!
