This is an attractive and/or still very detailed and I deem just moderately used- and/or worn but regrettably damaged! - example of a: WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fliegerschützen-Abzeichen mit Blitzbündel' (or: Luftwaffe airgunners-war-badge with lightning-bolts) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'B&N - L.'-) marked- and/or: typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was produced by the: 'Berg & Nolte'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that comes in an overall nice- (and just moderately used- ie. worn- ie. partly damaged-), condition. The mid- (ie. later-) war period- war-badge comes in a moderately worn and comes naturally mounted on its fully functional (and fully unaltered!) pin- and/or functional catch (ie. typical catch set-up). The award shows a 'separately'- (and/or detailed!) greyish-silver-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two firmly attached- (and unaltered!) rivets (as is visible on the back). The badge retains most of its period-applied greyish- (ie. bright-silver-) toned finish but does show a tarnished- (ie. typical zinc-like-) age-patina as is more often encountered on these Luftwaffe-related war-badges. The badge shows a clearly visible makers'-mark-designation (that reads: 'B&N - L.'-) and is thus in all respects an example that can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'Berg & Nolte' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid: the award shows naturally all the specific details as known for a genuine, air-gunners-badge by this particular maker. The piece is just minimally stained ie. dirty but has I deem never been cleaned: both wreath and/or eagle-device retain a nice albeit minimally tarnished appearance. Regrettably, is the outer-tip of the left wing of the eagle-device missing- ie. broken-of (as can clearly be seen on the pictures) something that I deem merits my asking-price: a complete exampe would at least cost the double of my asking-price!
