Aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) ie. 'Pioniere- o. Bau-Truppen'-related ID-disc that shows the designation: 'Bau-Btl. 79 - 3. Komp.'
This is a neat - and just moderately used- and/or worn! - example of a bright-silverish-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) ie. 'Pioniere- o. Bau-Truppen'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Bau-Btl. 79 - 3. Komp.' (and as such being a disc that was I deem intended for a soldier or NCO (possibly officer!) who served within the: third company of the construction- ie. enigineers- unit (ie. 'Bataillon'), numbered: '79') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The disc comes in an overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!): it shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat torn-out holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of a bearers'-blood-group-type something that is more often observed. The disc originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this specimen shows the bearers-numeral: '1' (something that might denote that this particular example belonged to its commanding officer!). Simply an attractive and honest WH (Heeres) ie. 'Pioniere- o. Bau-Truppen'-related ID-disc that is I deem accordingly priced!
