'Virtually mint- ie. unissued' pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Leutnant der Infanterie'
The truly attractive - and simply never used nor worn! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboard-pair is piped in the typical white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a junior-officer holding the rank of a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie' (ie. infantry-lieutnant). The attractive pair was simply never used nor worn and comes in a truly 'virtually mint- ie. unissued', condition: it came still 'tied-together' as found. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be impossible to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching in all details as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11,8 cms. in length each - never had any numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') nor pips attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of a junior-officer ie.: 'Leutnant der Infanterie. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie'!
