Pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period- (ie. 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern, 'tailor-made'- (and/or rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for an: 'Oberwachtmeister des Artillerie-Rgts. 44'
This is a very attractive - hardly used and/or fully matching! - pair of typical 'tailor-made'-pattern and neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberwachtmeister des Artillerie-Regiments 44' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the artillery-regiment, numbered '44') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 12 cms. in length each - show the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat straps show a matching pair of the neat (somewhat tarnished silver-toned, zinc-based and/or larger-sized) double '4'-numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') and four (fully identical, smaller-sized and/or bright-silver-toned) pips period-attached denoting the NCOs'-rank ie. function of: 'Oberwachtmeister des Artillerie-Regiments 44'. The set came with a pair of typical 'pebbled-styled', field-grey-coloured 'screw-on'-buttons (ie. 'Schraubknöpfe') attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - that show the typical somewhat 'sub-dued', bluish-silverish-toned NCO-braid attached - are entirely constructed from so-called: 'boiled wool' and come naturally mounted onto their period-attached- (regular-shaped) tongues attached and come both in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition overall (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair only shows minimal wear and/or age and is just very nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat NCO-type, privately-purchased NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberwachtmeister des Artillerie-Regiments 44'!
