Single, WH (Heeres) officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard: 'Leutnant der Nebelwerfer-Trpn.' who served within the famous 'GrossDeutschland'-division

This is a very desirable - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless fairly scarcely seen! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard as piped in the desirable darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured branchcolour (as constructed from the typical 'smooth-type' wool and that is showing a rarely observed, regular-sized and/or tarnished golden-toned 'GD'-cypher period-attached as was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Nebelwerfer-Truppen' (ie. smoke-troops lieutnant) who served within the famous 'GrossDeutschland'-division and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderboard - which is piped in the darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured - is executed in the 'smooth-type'-wool and never had a tongue attached: it was clearly intended for usage as a board of the 'sew-in'-pattern. The board - which is approximately 9,8 cms. sized in length - has a greyish (ie. truly sub-dued) 'upperdeck' and shows the obvious signs of having been worn ie. having been once tunic-attached (it shows some heavy wear and/or usage, especially on its sides). As stated above, does the board show a non-magnetic, regular-sized and/or (tarnished) golden-toned, so-called: 'GD'-cypher period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class). The 'cypher' retains both its prongs (as can be seen on the back of the board). The device shows a clearly tarnished finish. This board - that came with a pebbled-styled tunic-button attached and that originates from a private household where it was recently found - was surely intended to be used onto a 'regular, front-used'-tunic. Simply a very attractive - and very scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard that shows lots of character and that belonged to a 'Nebelwerfer'-officer who served within a famous WH 'elite'-regiment: too bad that it is only a single specimen!
