Pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or rounded-styled) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Festungspionier-Oberfeldwebel'
This is an attractive - slightly mis-matched but nevertheless still quite rarely encountered! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) I deem early- (ie. pre-) war-period- (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern-) NCO-type- and/or: 'Pioniere'- (ie. army-engineers) related shoulderstraps as was piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and/or with certainty worn by! - an army: 'Festungspionier-Oberfeldwebel' (or: fortification-construction NCO ie. sergeant first-class) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps - which are both 11 cms. sized in length - have the typical darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdecks' and have the neat (and desirable!) black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping, attached. The pair - which is as stated above minimally mismatched but that was most certainly used a pair - comes naturally mounted onto its functional tongues and does show only moderate wear, usage and/or minimal age (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show a pair of (identical, tarnished silverish-coloured, Gothic-styled and/or I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'FP'-'cyphers' and two pairs of equally-styled (and regular-sized) pips, period-attached. Next to this the straps show the 'standard-issued', early-type- ('dotted'-pattern) and silverish-coloured, 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid attached denoting that the bearer held the unusualy seen function (ie. rank) of: 'Festungspionier-Oberfeldwebel' (or: fortification-construction NCO ie. sergeant first-class). Simply a very attractive - and truly rarely found! - pair of NCO-type 'Pioniere'-related shoulderstraps that is with certainty priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
