Pair of early-period (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern and rounded-styled) WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kav. o. Pair of early-period (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern and rounded-styled) WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kav. o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Rgts. 2'

This is a truly attractive - fully matching and with certainty quite rarely found! - pair of early-war-period (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern and/or rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 2' (or: NCO and sergeant who served within a specific cavalry- ie. reconnaisance regiment or unit, numbered: '2') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which are executed in the darker-green-coloured and/or 'smooth-type' wool - show the typical (woolen-based) golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured piping attached and measure approximately 11,9 cms. in length each. The straps come mounted onto their functional tongues attached and show a (variant-pattern!) silver-toned NCO-braid attached. Next to this show both straps a neat pair of (matching, Gothic-styled, 'Buntmetall-based', smaller-sized and/or bright ie. frosted-silver-toned) so-called: 'S'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and equally-styled (smaller-sized) '2'-numerals and/or single pip each period attached. All six devices are nicely preserved but do show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - show as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). They came mounted onto their functional tongues attached as worn and or used. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the NCO who wore this pair was once promoted (from Unteroffizier to Feldwebel) something that can easily be corroborated by the presence of the (differently-styled!) horizontally-mounted pieces of NCO-braid (as can be noticed on the pictures). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not that often for sale. In any case a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 2': I deem that I have priced this attractive pair according to its obvious rarity and/or desirability!
