D.R.B. (or: 'Deutscher Reichsbahn') day-badge (ie. 'tinnie'): 'Weihe d. Ehrenmals f. d. gefallenen Eisenbahner im Reichsbahndir. Bezirk Halle (Saale) - 4.11.1934'
This is an attractive - early-period- and peculiar-shaped! - so-called: D.R.B.- (or: 'Deutscher Reichsbahn'-) related day-badge (ie. tinnie or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') being a (typical) non-maker-marked example as was issued to commemorate a specific meeting entitled the: 'Weihe d. Ehrenmals f. d. gefallenen Eisenbahner im Reichsbahndir. Bezirk Halle (Saale)' that was held on 4 November 1934 and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit issued ie. I deem just moderately worn-), condition. The very detailed and/or pronounced badge - which is executed in golden-bronze-coloured and - I deem - zinc-based pot-metal - truly shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished. The piece - which is as stated above void of any maker-designation - shows the: D.R.B.-logo coupled with a swastika and shows a standing soldier holding a flag ie. 'Fahne' surrounded by the abovementioned text and date: next to this it also shows the text: 'Die Fahne Hoch!' (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge comes naturally mounted on its (functional) pin- ie. catch set-up. Simply an attractive, D.R.B.- (or: 'Deutscher Reichsbahn'-) related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that comes not that often for sale!
