'Freikorps'- (ie. 'Ritter von Epp'-) related sleeve-diamond (ie.: 'Ärmelraute') showing a detailed illustration of a: 'Löwenkopf'

This is a very attractive - and actually truly scarcely encountered! - so-called: 'Freikorps'- (ie. 'Ritter von Epp'-) related sleeve-diamond (ie.: 'Ärmelraute') showing a very detailed illustration of a lions-head (ie. 'Löwenkopf') and that came mounted onto its (period) 'Raute'-shaped piece of black-coloured (and typical velvet-based) material that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The piece is executed in golden-bronze-toned metal (I deem non-magnetic so-called: 'Buntmetall') and is truly very detailed and pronounced (as can be noticed on the pictures). The 'Raute' is neatly 'backed' with 'Buckram'-based material and does still show some of the thread-remains with which it was once tunic-attached. These attractive Bavarian-related sleeve-diamonds (ie.: 'Ärmelrauten') were worn by the various 'Freikorps Ritter von Epp'-volunteers during the period between 1919 and 1925. Simply a an attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - early-period piece of 'Freikorps'-related insignia: only the first such interesting 'Freikorps-Raute' I ever had on offer!
