Single, early-period- (ie. 'Reichswehr'-era), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' EM-type shoulderstrap: 'Soldat des Kavallerie-Rgts. 3'
This is an attractive - regrettably single but actually fairly rarely encountered! - very early-period (ie. 'Reichswehr'-era), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap having the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached as was executed in neat field-grey-coloured- and/or: 'rib-cord'-like linnen as was specifically intended for - and with certainty used by! - a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie-Regiments 3' (or: simple soldier who served within the army-cavalry-regiment, numbered: '3') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The strap - which measures 11 cms. in length - is fully 'text-book' in all facets and is executed in (typical 'Reichwehr'-era pattern) HBT-like (ie. 'rib-cord'-like-) linnen and having the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached. The strap come mounted onto its functional, linnen-based tongue attached (something that is more often encountered with these early-type straps): moreover, does it show the golden-yellow-coloured '3'-cypher (ie. numeral or: 'Ziffer') which is executed in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of (early) shoulderstraps are of the pre-war-period-pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1935/1937 (but were worn-out during the war). The strap only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and with certainty quite rarely encountered! - 'cyphered' shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie-Regiments 3' and that is accordingly priced!
