Single, WH (Heeres) EM-type (ie. 'M40- o. M43'-pattern) shoulderstrap: 'Soldat u. Offiz.-Anwärter eines Pionier-Bataillons o. Rgts.'

This is an attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless not that easily ie. scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early- (ie. mid-) war-period, so-called: 'M40- o. M43'-pattern, enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap having the neat black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldatl u. Offiziers-Anwärter eines Pionier-Bataillons o. Regiments' (or: simple soldier and officers'-candidate who served within an army-engineers battalion or regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 13 cms. in length - has the 'standard-type'- and/or field-grey-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdeck'. The strap - which shows the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached - shows a (double-sized) slip-on (ie. 'Lasche') period- (and firmly) attached (which are executed in silver, standard-issue-pattern NCO-braid) denoting that the soldier who wore this strap was an: 'Offiziers-Anwärter' ie. officers'-candidate (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). This neat strap originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collector-hands. Simply an attractive and/or: early- ie. mid-war-period, 'Heeres'-related enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Offiziers-Anwärter eines Pionier-Bataillons o. Regiments'!
