RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related armband (ie. 'Armbinde')
This is a very attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - so-called: RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related armband (ie. 'Armbinde') being a typical chocolate-brown-coloured example showing a (neatly silver-flatwire-woven!) RAD-eagle-device and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. never worn- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. This example - having a total size of 44 cms. and having a width of 10,8 cms. as more often seen - is constructed from chocolate-brown-coloured linnen and shows a neatly (interwoven!) so-called: 'RAD-eagle- and spade/swastika'-device and two bright-silver-coloured (and also interwoven!) 'borders' which are all three executed in a technique similar to the 'BeVo'-flatwire-weave pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is very nicely made and shows only minimal storage-age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The exact usage for this armband has still to be fully determined: it was most likely introduced around September 1942 and was presumably merely intended for usage by staff-members (ie. officers) serving within the staff (ie. 'Stab') of the: 'RAD-Reichsarbeitsführer'. Simply a very attractive - and desirable! - RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related and very nicely executed 'RAD-Armbinde' that is - I deem - accordingly priced: only the second such rare RAD-item I ever had on offer!
