This is a very attractive - and with certainty scarcely seen! - example of a very early-pattern, WH (Heeres ie. Reichswehr) special-career arm-insignia (or: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') (or: hand-embroidered speciality arm-patch ie. signal-blitz) as was (I deem) intended for a soldier serving within the: 'Kradschützen-Truppen' and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem simply never worn- nor tunic-attached-), condition. The neat (hand-embroidered) patch is executed in brownish- (ie. 'kupferbrauner'-) coloured linnen on a (typical) greenish-coloured and/or: woolen-based background and shows a (detailed and/or neatly hand-embroidered) 'Blitz' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is not maker-marked and shows some minimal age and/or staining (I deem simply caused by years of storage only). This example is also nicely 'backed' with a piece of greyish-toned linnen as is more often encountered with these early-pattern arm-badges. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a neat, early- (ie. 'Reichswehr'-) pattern 'Signal-Blitz'- ie. speciality-patch!
