Stunning - and truly rarely found! - golden-toned WH (Heeres o. KM etc.) so-called: 'Einzelspange' (being of the 'non-detachable'-pattern) showing a: Memel- (ie. 'Memelland'-) 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '22 März 1939'

This is a truly very attractive - and with certainty very rarely found! - example of a bright-golden-toned, WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine etc.) so-called: 'Einzelspange' (or: single-pieced medal-bar) being of the 'non-detachable'-pattern and showing a Memel- (ie. 'Memelland'-) 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '22 März 1939' (of the 'slanted G'-pattern) as was given to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of the Memelland, which started on 22 March 1939) and that comes mounted onto its confectioned, ribbon (ie. bar) as issued and/or minimally worn. The detail on this example is truly very nicely preserved: it has never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and somewhat 'frosted'- (ie. minimally tarnished) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal comes 'mounted' onto a metal-based 'clasp' that is neatly 'backed' with a piece of greyish-coloured wool and that shows a functional pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this medal is of the scarcely seen, so-called: 'slanted G'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive and truly hard to find WH Memel 'Anschluss'-medal that comes mounted as an: 'Einzelspange': just the first such rare example I ever had on offer!
