This is a very attractive - never before seen and most certainly rarely encountered! - neatly machine-embroidered, so-called: 'Luftschutz Warn-Dienstes'- (or: 'LSW'-) related trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie. 'Tätigkeitsabzeichen') depicting two crossed 'Blitzes' and text: 'LSW' and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem simply never used- nor tunic-attached- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The oval-shaped and darker-green 'rimmed' patch - that measures approximately 6,5 x 5,2 cms. is executed in darker-green-toned- (ie. feltwoolen-based) material and shows the silverish-white toned crossed 'Blitzes' and text: 'LSW' (as can be noticed on the pictures). It should be noted that the 'Luftschutz-Warndienst' (or: 'LSW') was a smaller-sized TR-period organisation that fell under the jurisdiction of the RLB (or: 'Reichs-Luftschutz Bund'). There is regrettably not much reference-material availbable about this interesting 'LSW-Tätigkeitsabzeichen' but it is, however, known that it saw usage for a very limited time-frame: it was instituted in June 1942 and was discontinued in June 1944. I deem that I have priced this attractive - and without doubt very scarcely encountered! - 'LSW'-related speciality-patch accordingly: I have never seen another example for sale!
